Our fifth-grade class had a fantastic day learning all about dairy farming at the wonderful Co-Jo Farm! We were warmly welcomed by our excellent tour guides, Greg, Joe, Janessa, and Liberty, who made the day both fun and educational. Along with the other farm hands, they took us on exciting tours, showing us the ins and outs of a working farm. Students learned fascinating facts about how the cows are fed and what keeps them healthy. The most anticipated part was seeing the impressive process of how the milk is collected using modern technology. Our guides gave us so much exciting information about the entire operation.
A big thank you to the whole Co-Jo Farm team for having us and for sharing their work.
A special thank you to Kevin Christoffers for his generous sponsorship that covered the bus fee for our field trip!
And of course, a huge thank you for the delicious ice cream treats we got to enjoy at the end of our trip!
Did you know? There is a conceptual drawing available for the building bond referendum! Visit https://www.acgcbuilttofly.com/plan to see a visual preview of the proposed building improvements. Please note: specific square footage and designs are not finalized and are only conceptual at this point. If residents approve the referendum, the design process would involve stakeholder feedback to help further refine and finalize the plan before construction begins. Completing fully engineered construction documents before project funding is secured would not be a cost-effective solution.
If approved, this plan would build a new two-station multipurpose addition to our junior/senior high school including health and fitness space, improve our Career and Technical Education (CTE) space with additional equipment and furnishings, relocate our wrestling space inside our 5–12 building and renovate the space to better support our student athletes’ needs, and address critical deferred maintenance needs.
Visit our website to learn more about the plan, and don't forget to vote on or before Tuesday, November 4. 👏
