Author Kevin Lovegreen entertained our students with this passion for books about the great outdoors. In addition, he worked 1:1 with our 3rd and 4th graders on writing their personal narratives. He's inspired a lot of Falcons with his excitement for reading!
Musher Tom Kruger stopped in on Friday afternoon to talk to the 8th grade class about the sport of dogsledding. Students learned what is necessary to maintain a twenty-six dog kennel, the clothing needed to thrive in frigid temperatures, how to harness a sled dog, and what equipment is required to successfully run in a dog sled race.
