Prior to coming in 9th place at the Section 5A Championships on Thursday, Oct 23rd, to punch her ticket to the state meet, Brinley Grimsgard also won the girls varsity meet in Kimball and took 5th place in Redwood Falls. At the section meet in Litchfield, she set the school record and her lifetime PR at 19:32.1. That was good enough for 9th place out of 118 runners! She is now on her way to State and is the first ACGC girl runner to do so in over 25 years. Jamie Carlson was the last boy to qualify and Jennie Hillebrandt was the last girl.

Grimsgard will continue the season for the Falcons in the cities on Saturday, Nov 1, at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course. Her start time will be 10:45am.

A state sendoff is set for Friday, October 31 at the ACGC Jr/Sr High School, starting at approximately 1:15pm, near the south main entrance.
