State Bound

The ACGC Falcons are flying high as three of our student-athletes prepare to compete on Minnesota’s biggest stage next week—the MSHSL State Tournaments!

Representing ACGC in track and field is sophomore Kenlie Blom, who earned her spot at state with an impressive performance in the 100 meter hurdles at the section meet. She will compete against the best in the state as she looks to move up on the podium after finishing fourth at last year’s state tournament. Preliminary heats will be on Tuesday, June 10 at 3:30pm at St. Michael-Albertville High School. The finals for the 100 meter hurdles will be on Wednesday, June 11 at 4:30pm at STMA.

In boys golf, freshman Austin Quale advanced to state after steady improvement throughout the season and a standout showing at the section tournament. He heads to the state course at Pebble Creek in Becker ready to represent the Falcons with focus and drive. The boys’ tee off in the afternoon sessions on Tuesday, June 10 and Wednesday, June 11.

Brooke Brekke rounds out our trio as she competes in girls golf at state again. Her dedication and clutch performance at sections earned her this well-deserved return trip to the championship. Brooke finished in seventh place at last year’s state golf meet. The girls golfers will have the morning tee times at Pebble Creek in Becker on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We are proud of these three Falcons and the way they represent our school and community. Good luck at state—Falcon Nation is cheering you on!
